Located on a steeply sloping site in Hattersley, the two storey school takes advantage of spectacular views to the surrounding countryside.
The scope included a large bulk earthwork and soil stabilisation strategy. In addition there was a large tarmac car park and extensive sports facilities including 2 football pitches.
The 2000m2 building is sat on a reinforced raft foundation slab which ACS constructed in a 7 week period with concrete pours of up to 260m3 at weekly intervals using two batching plants to enable the vast amounts of concrete to be supplied efficiently. The concrete upper floor was also constructed by ACS on this project.
